Welcome to my new website, Louisinana! On the website, you will find advice on parenting, life issues, "adulting," recipes, book suggestions, reviews, commentaries, fashion for the 50+ crowd, and more. Louisinana will be your "go-to" place for inspiration and ideas from a "Nana's" perspective.

So you know a little bit about me, I am a proud grandmother, Nana, to two beautiful young ladies, Rylee and Madelyn. Rylee is eleven and Madelyn is seven. Like most Nanas, I adore my grands and love to spend time with them. They are both competitive cheerleaders and involved in cheer, dance, tumbling, and soccer. Needless to say, they keep the whole family busy!

I am married to the most amazing husband in the world, my Jay-Bird. He takes care of me and our family in so many ways. I literally could not function without him!

I am retired from my first career as a long-time educator in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and I am working on my second career at Louisiana State University Shreveport. In my spare time (when I have some!), I love to write, read, cook, and spend time with my family.

I am a constitutional conservative who loves God and is a proud American. Jesus is first in my life, and I value my personal freedoms as granted in the U.S. Constitution.
